2010-02-01 This week Mr President will receive Bonifacio VIII Award and meet Mr Nicolas Sarkozy -President of the Republic of France, François Fillon - Prime Minister of France, Elbegdorj Tsakhia - President of Mongolia, William E. Kennard - U.S. Ambassador to the European Union. During the weekend President Buzek will attend the UEFA EURO 2012 Qualifying Draw in Warsaw. 2010-01-18 This week the President will be presiding over plenary sessions of the European Parliament in Strasbourg. During this week's session on the 20.I the new European Ombudsman will be elected. This week in the European Parliament the hearings of the Commissioners Designates continue. The President will meet with José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero - Prime Minister of Spain, Barbara Lochbihler - The Chairwoman of the EP Delegation for relations with Iran and Bishop Tadeusz Pieronek. 2010-01-11 This week hearings of the Commissioners Designates are taking place at the European Parliament. President Jerzy Buzek will meet with Ms Tzetzka Tzacheva, President of the Bulgarian National Assembly, Mr Jozefina Topali Speaker of the Albanian Parliament and Mr Vladimir Senko the Ambassador of Belarus. President will take part in the seminar "What's next with Cuba" and also will meet with MEPs at the New Years reception - "New Year, New Treaty, New Era for the European Parliament!". President will also receive the Special Award - Golden Statuette - from Business Center Club at its Gala Event in Warsaw. 2010-01-06 On the day of celebration of the 'Lord's revelation' (church holiday) a meeting was held between prof. Jerzy Buzek - President of the European Parliament - and bishop division general prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Płoski at the Field Bishop's residence.
