2010-07-19 In the current week Mr. President will hold the meetings with Mr Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council, Mrs Mercedes Bresso, President of the Committee of the Regions and Mrs Danuta Hübner, Chair of the Regional Development Committee at the European Parliament as well as Mr Grzegorz Schetyna, Speaker of the Polish Parliament. President Buzek will also take part in the Annual Meeting of EU Leaders with 20 religious leaders and in the meeting with students of the National School of Public Administration in Poland (KSAP).
2010-06-28 In the current week President Buzek will pay an official visit to the United States. During the visit he will participate in the Transatlantic Dialogue on Democracy Support, organised by the National Democratic Institute. On Thursday we he will hold meetings with Anders Fogh Rasmussen - Secretary General of NATO and President of European Commission - Jose Manuel Barroso. Furthermore Mr President will attend the opening ceremony of the Belgian Presidency of the EU, hosted by His Majesty Albert II, King of Belgians on Friday.
On 7th June, in the European elections, we chose 50 MEPs from Poland. The Civic Platform obtained 44,43% of votes and, as a result, now holds 25 mandates.
