"An Energy Community for the Future"

"An Energy Community for the Future"

Ladies and Gentlemen, dear Colleagues,

The conference "An Energy Community for the Future" was held on March 20 at the European Parliament in Brussels.

It coincided with the work of the High-Level Reflection Group, mandated to propose ways of enhancing the Community’s efficiency in 2016-2026 – the period for which its Treaty was recently extended.

The conference will offer the floor for discussion to various energy stakeholders coming from the EU and non-EU members of the Energy Community. It is divided into two panels: “Building the Right Investment Climate” and “Rules and Institutions – Maximizing Efficiency”. Each of the panels will gather representatives of policymakers, donors, business, NGOs, academia, and will include a Q&A session. The conference will be live-streamed on the Internet.

This public hearing coincides with the work of a High-Level Reflection Group, mandated to propose ways of enhancing the Community’s efficiency in 2016-2026 – the period for which its Treaty was recently extended. Members of the Group will also participate in the conference.

Please save the date in your calendars and check this website for agenda updates.

Please register by e-mail at jerzy.buzek@europarl.europa.eu before March 17. If you need accreditation to enter the European Parliament, please include your ID number, organisation and country of residence.
